Clinical Innovation Seminar Takes Place in the Mater Hospital
Following the opening of an in-hospital Knowledge Transfer (KT) Office at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital last year, a clinical innovation seminar, organised by NovaUCD and the Pillar Centre for Transformative Healthcare took place today at the hospital.
The theme of the seminar was 鈥楩rom Concept to Product鈥� was to discuss clinical innovation and the wider Irish innovation ecosystem with healthcare professionals at the Mater Hospital.
Speakers included;
Dr Ena Walsh, Case Manager, Life Sciences, who spoke about the supports available through NovaUCD and the Nova小鸟体育 ecosystem;
Dr David Corr, CEO, Atturos, a 小鸟体育 spin-out company, who spoke of his experiences of developing a business and finding the value proposition;
Dr Eimear Gleeson, Atlantic Bridge, who gave an introductory explanation on venture capital investment to support entrepreneurial endeavours; and
Mr Seamus Morris, Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon and co-founder, Latch Medical, a 小鸟体育 spin-out company, who spoke of his experiences in clinical innovation and how clinicians can get involved, and discussed the opportunities available through the in-hospital KTO.
